Vanessa Story

Vanessa is one of three children. After their father passed, their mother sold the family land and house and moved to Congo to marry another man, abandoning her children to fend for themselves. Fortunately, the village leaders intervened, and the three were able to get back their family home. They lived alone for six tiresome months until they were joined by their aunt, Costasie, and her family.

Not long after, Costasie lost her husband from pneumonia and is now the sole caretaker of seven children. She rarely finds work and is battling to sustain this large household.
